Please bring a few small or medium-sized art works to practice photographing in the lab portion of this Smartphone workshop. This workshop will help you create photographs for websites, social media, and for open call applications. Applications for the ASL grants and scholarships competition are due April 27, 2025.
This workshop teaches students how to photograph paintings and sculptures with a Smartphone: from lighting standards and tips to photography and post-production principles.
Gustavo Murillo is a photographer specialized in artwork documentation. He holds an MFA in Photography, Video and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts, NYC. His photographs have been published in May, Artforum, Art in America, The New York Times, Mousse Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Mirror, Time Out, and The Brooklyn Rail, among others.
